5/13/20 - Reflection

It seems like ages ago when I was making my first sketches of The Creator and trying to write a coherent script.  Skills such as animating in Cinema 4D, rigging in After Effects, writing a short narrative, maintaining a strict production schedule for 8 months, creating original music from scratch, and releasing a short film by myself were all new to me at that point.  Inside this animation live all those personal accomplishments, and I am incredibly proud of what I have made.

Even though I spent most of the year imagining the premiere at FUSE, I still ended up reaching plenty of people online, and was thrilled to hear people's reactions.  With a project this big it's very rewarding to just finish it, but to have other people enjoy your work makes it so much more fulfilling.  DEMIURGE will continue to grow through film festivals and online views, and I will always look back on it as the defining project of my college experience.

Thank you to everyone who has followed these production blogs, and I hope you gained something from it.  I learned so much from this experience and I plan to make a short "Making Of" video very soon to share what this process was like, and hopefully inspire others to achieve their creative goals!  I'm not going to dive too deep into what the film means, because even though it means so much to me, it is not my responsibility to decide how others interpret it.  My film is finished and has been released to the world, much like Mo is now a part of his world, and now it is time for the Creator to fade away...
