10/17/19 - Demiurge

I could keep rewriting the script and reworking the animatic for an entire year, but it is time to lock it down.  After feedback in class today I will give myself a few hours to make small adjustments and then move on to production!  I have already begun a lot of visual development work, but I am excited to start devoting all my time to making assets rather than obsessing over the animatic.  I am proud of it and look forward to developing the animation with a well thought out reference to give me direction.

I have been collecting musical ideas and I am going to create my own music.  It will be a challenge, but so far it has been fun to write little chunks of songs whenever I am inspired by the visuals I am creating.  As the vision develops I will start putting it all together and most importantly getting the timing down before diving into full arrangements of music and production.

I was lucky enough to spend a good half hour talking about my film with Bill Wise, a Technical Character Supervisor at Pixar.  He seemed to be very interested in my premise, even though some parts of the animatic were confusing.  I have taken a lot of his feedback into account and refined my animatic accordingly.  Also as he was describing ideas to me he kept using the word 'Demiurge' to describe my Creator character.  I have always liked that word since I first heard it as a song title.  I feel it will make a fitting title to my film as well.
