3/5/20 - On My Way
This week I made a big decision to let someone else help me with the music for my film. I've spent a lot of hours composing it and even though I would love to produce it myself I think my time would be better spent animating. I've met my goal of 4 hours of work per day for every day since the last milestone, but I have less visual progress to show than last week because a large chunk of time was spent getting the music ready to pass along. When I showed it to my producer he said we could maybe knock this out in the next week. That would be a huge weight off my shoulders. I have one more full week before Spring Break and it would be nice to have the music done and out of the way so I can be all in on the animation for the home stretch.
Anyways I did manage to accomplish some big tasks on the visuals this week as well! Most notably I have my first rendered version of Scene 5, which takes place inside the Creator's head. I think it still has some work left to do with smoothing out the animation and compositing it all together, but overall I'm excited with my progress! This scene had a lot of simulations and precise timing between switching effectors, deformers, and voronoi fractures inside Cinema 4D. So the hard parts are done and now it is just refining. I also worked on the last scene with the Creator dissolving into his "enlightened" form. The last shot in particular was a big step because for a long time I couldn't figure out the look for the new world at the end.
I guess from now on I'm going to talk about everything even if it gives away the story, so...spoilers I guess.
