9/10/19 - Concept and Ideas

At this point I have figured out the basic premise of the story I want to tell.  My film will convey a message of unity.  The story's main character will be a god type being called The Creator.  He will be in charge of overseeing a planet and when he discovers that the environment and its inhabitants can't get along he will solve the problem by combining all life into one conscious being.

I've been doing some concept art for the characters and writing a script.  So far the narrative has been the hardest part.  Mostly because I can't cram everything I want to make into a 3 minute film, but I am still planning on animating in several different styles.  The Creator will be hand drawn in traditional frame by frame fashion.  Scenes taking place on the surface of the planet will look more geometric and resemble motion design rather than traditional animation.  For these scenes I really want to focus on texture, which I consider to be one of my weaker areas, so I'm looking forward to developing those skills.  Other than those two main styles there will be at least one scene that requires a few 3D elements and a sequence in the middle where I want to get experimental.  Nothing is totally planned out yet, but I am excited about my idea and I'm enjoying the process so far!

The title of my film will be 'Monohand'.
